OST Soup Kitchen

soup kitchen_logo_web

The OST Soup Kitchen opened our doors in December 2010. We serve a hot, nutritious lunch on the last Monday of every month from 11:30 – 1:00 to an average of 90 - 100 guests. Volunteers who help prepare and serve the meal are needed from 9:30 – 1:30. Congregants may sponsor a meal for $300, and many others donate food, clothes and personal articles, time and money, all of which allows us to extend our collective helping hand to those in need.

The Soup Kitchen has evolved into much more than just the serving of a meal to hungry people. We distribute numerous types of toiletry items, blankets, clothes, shoes, socks and backpacks, all donated by generous congregants. As our guests leave, they are given a snack and a water bottle.
